Frequently Asked Questions

The company was founded by a couple named Raymond and Azlina. They started with hosting larger weddings, over 300 of them, where tons of money were spent, stressful for the couple and difficult to plan. Sporadically, there are smaller weddings, 20  attendees or less. After noticing that the smaller weddings were the most enjoyable to the couple and all attendees, a better way was born!  With that, Tiki Moon Weddings are now making getting married in Hawaii, fun, easy and affordable!

As you may have guessed, it will be simple (and hopefully fun)! The first order of business is to decide your ceremony date and time. We also like to know how many guests you’ll bring along. From there, we’ll help you choose from our various elopement packages. After that, we’ll get to personalizing! We personalize everything from the ceremony, to the photo styles, to the flowers. Our firm belief is that your ceremony should be a reflection of your relationship! Easy. Breezy. Beautiful.

We’ve found the process of planning a remote wedding, large or small, can be stressful and difficult. We streamline the process of planning an elopement (which we define as 20 guests or less) for everything regarding the actual ceremony including coordinating officiant, photography, videography, hair & makeup and flowers. We’re also happy to advise on the process of getting a marriage license in Hawaii, recommend where to stay, where to dine and fun things to do in the area. In essence, we make things, well, simple!

Traditional weddings are incredibly expensive and can take a lot of time to plan, not to mention can be stressful. If couples choose to elope, their ceremonies can be planned in a few hours with costs that are a fraction of what they’d pay for a traditional wedding. Plus, elopements tend to be much more personal and intimate. Traditional weddings are all about…well…tradition! Elopements, rather, put the focus back on the couple and their love, allowing the lovebirds to have a ceremony that’s as unique as their relationship. Your wedding day should be about you, a day to celebrate your commitment to the one you love. This is the very definition of elopement.

We have our beach front property, Tiki Moon Villas, where the ceremony can take place. The Beach front garden has hosted hundreds of weddings to date with a very private feeling to your experience, the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean in the back ground and literally steps away from the turquoise blue water, a color so vivid it looks painted. While all beaches in Hawaii are public property, Tiki Moon Villas beach front is rarely visited by anyone but our guests.  It is as close to a private beach feel as one can get in Hawaii!  The garden area is beautifully appointed with two koi ponds and multiple water features.

Other locations available are:
Hale’iwa Beach – Sunsets, sea turtles and green waters? That’s the Hawaiian experience you’ve come for, right? Hale’iwa is a great beach for spotting turtles and the green waters don’t get much more lovely than this. Swimming isn’t great here due to shallow reefs, but the views (and sunsets) are spectacular! Beach permit needed.

From top to bottom, we customize what we do. We believe your big day should be about YOU and the only way we can do that, is by getting to know your desires, needs and hopes, and then customizing the elements of your ceremony to match that.

While we aren’t crazy about labels (we aren’t a wedding planner, per say), we’re here to answer questions, provide services, give needed advice and do everything we are able to help your day be a stunning event!

Our answer every time: as soon as you’re able! While we have done a number of ceremonies the day after a couple contacts us, we’re able to spend more time personalizing and fitting your ceremony to meet your needs with more lead time. The most important part on our end is for you is to reserve your date. All the pieces fall into place after that one magical ‘click’!
